John and Lillian and their family have been dear friends for over 40 years.
I have always been in awe of John's ability to assess a challenge, design a solution and execute the plan for the solution.
John has been one of my role models since 1968 when we first met and were part of the "Homemakers" - or "renegades" at Hatboro Baptist Church. I learned a lot from John as we sat on Boards, attended classes together, and toasted the old and new year on New Years Eve.
The best times were when we were taking the Youth Group somewhere on skiing, canoeing, camping or bicycling adventures and there were many - all learning experiences for me and one scary one in particular.
"Adventurous" was the Smith Family's middle name and I enjoyed every opportunity possible when asked to join them.
Puerto Vallarta, Massanutten, sailing in the Grenadines - missed out on the skiing at Mt Tremblant but made up for it at the Farm near Elk Mountain.
John, you are with me always, although I will miss visiting with you during fellowship hour and having lunch on our deck, and hiking through the woods along the Tohickon Creek and taking advantage of the free lift tickets at Bear Mountain and I could go on and on. Peace be with you John.

Love, Jack Wilkerson

May you find comfort in the memories that are yours to cherish always, and strength in the companionship of those who share your loss.... I have learned never to underestimate the healing power we all have. It is always there to be used for the highest good. Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. (Matthew 5:4) May it be a source of inner strength to know that there's a loving God watching over you, and that, throughout this time of need, He'll stay close by your side. I have fought the fine fight, I have run the course to the finish, I have observed the faith.-2Timothy 4:7. As for me, I will lie down that I may sleep; I shall certainly awake, for Jehovah himself keeps supporting me. -Psalms 3:5

My heartfelt sympathies are with you all. I treasure my childhood memories with your family and greatly enjoyed your family fun. Your dad was the best.
