So sorry to hear of the loss of Emma. I worked with her at Vicks. When I think of her, I will always picture her smiling. She was a wonderful person to work with. My prayers go out to all her family.

I am sorry to hear that Mrs. Beach passed away. She was truly a kind, compassionate and beautiful person. I say this because of what she did for me. Back in 1964 I applied for a material handler’s position for Richardson Vicks Company at the Hatboro plant. Emma was the Human Resources’ department secretary. I went through the paperwork and received an interview. Since I got laid off at my previous job, and it paid a little more, the plant leadership felt that I would not be satisfied with a lower paying job and would return to the previous employer once they started hiring again. Want they didn’t realize was my wife was seven months pregnant with our first child and I was desperately looking for employment. On a weekly bases there after I returned to Vicks Human Resources’ department and again asked for an opportunity to get hired. I got to talk with Emma many times and understanding my situation she sponsored me and got me another interview, this time with a Mr. Cal Todd the plant Production Manager. This time was a charm and Mr. Todd hired me and for the next 32 years I went to college under Vicks Tuition Aid program and moved up the ladder through many leadership positions and retired at a operations management level in 1997 when they closed the plant down. Throughout my carrier, and even when she retired, I kept in touch with Emma and enjoyed seeing her at our reunion luncheons. I am sure I was not the only person she touched but I am eternally grateful for what she did for me. Emma was a caring and loving person and I will truly miss seeing her. May God be praised for giving us such a compassionate person. Lin Magaha Sr.
